05/31/2024

Franklin Electric’s SubDrive Connect variable frequency drives (VFDs) for constant pressure are renowned for helping groundwater professionals save time and reduce costs when installing and servicing submersible and above-ground jobs up to five horsepower.

Now, we’re launching the next generation of SubDrive Connect, complete with features that further enhance the overall installation and user experience.

What’s New?

We’ve re-engineered key features to optimize SubDrive Connect to help tackle a broader range of jobs with enhanced versatility, backed by field-proven features for unmatched reliability.

  • Increased Dependability in Applications requiring Advanced Filtering: A new built-in input filter boosts performance and consistently mitigates interference with electronic devices in residential settings.*
  • Enhanced Versatility to Optimize Two-Wire Jobs with SubDrive20 and SubDrive30: From single-phase, two-wire submersible pumps to above-ground booster and jet pumps, the new SubDrive Connect now accommodates more water system possibilities while still delivering the same trusted, intuitive start-up experience.
  • Simple Installation Made Easier with Bluetooth Connectivity: The scannable QR code in each unit will help you quickly pair your SubDrive Connect with the FE Connect mobile app via Bluetooth. Be sure to download the latest mobile app version (v3.2.0) to support these enhancements.

These features will be available on units with software version 5.6.0 or manufactured with date code 24E and after April 2024. All product SKU numbers will remain the same for easy ordering.

Retrofitting Units in the Field? Here’s How:

*Advanced Filtering: Accessory Add-On

Homeowners today are using more LED lighting and smart home appliances than ever, and these products can be sensitive to the signals emitted by other active electronics, such as VFDs. While our newest SubDrive Connect units will now feature an enhanced built-in input filter to prevent signal interference, we’re also offering a Type 3R Indoor/Outdoor filter as an accessory add-on to installed SubDrive Connect units.
