Franklin Electric Continues to Invest Time & Talent in Training & Education Resources for Groundwater Professionals

05/13/2024 | Update

According to the National Groundwater Association (NGWA) and Oklahoma State University (OSU), 1 in 4 geoscience workers will retire by 2029, leading to a 130,000-person shortfall of professionals critical to ensure access to groundwater. Franklin Electric, in partnership with industry organizations like the Water Systems Council and NGWA, is investing in the critical tools, resources and personnel needed to not only train existing groundwater workers for career advancement, but also educate people entering the water access industry.

Newest Edition of Water Systems Handbook Provides Guidance on Wells, their Design & Maintenance

This month, the Water Systems Council released the 13th edition of the Water System Handbook, a tool that’s trusted by professionals across the industry. Franklin Electric Technical Solutions Director Dan Delaney served on the technical committee that developed the fully updated content for the Handbook, including photos, tables and drawings. The eight-book resource also includes a completely new unit on sizing pumps, wire, tanks, and water treatment systems.

“Countless hours went into assuring we created a resource that was factual, up-to-date and comprehensive for our water system partners,” Delaney said. “It is an incredible tool that new water professionals can use to study for their contractor’s license. It also gives more established water professionals easy access to continuing education.”

Following their members-only pre-sale, the guide will become available to order here. Water System Council members receive a 25% discount.
